This morning, I took a drive over to Canandaigua Airport to sign paperwork for renting aircraft closer to home. The rates are a bit higher per hour, but having a backup option in case my plane at Penn Yan isn’t available seems worth it. Plus, it would be great to finally use the airport I drive past every day on my way home.

As the AOPA Airport Support Representative for Canandaigua, it feels important to stay connected with what’s happening on the field and get to know more of the local pilots. Now, the next step is getting checked out on a plane to complete the process and make this new option official.
