As Central New York experiences a heatwave with nearly a dozen days over 90°F, I wanted to share a quick update on recent events and my current focus. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and staying cool!

Personal and Aviation Updates:

Flying Club and Missions: Due to financial priorities at home, I had to suspend my membership with the flying club back in May. Despite this, I’ve been actively involved in flying missions—not piloting, but participating in counter-drug operations using a G1000 equipped Cessna 182. It’s a significant experience, though I can’t share much about it for security reasons.

Health Matters: Recently, I faced a personal health challenge—I was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma, a type of nonmelanoma skin cancer. This came to light when I decided to finally address some persistent lesions on my face. I’m scheduled for a biopsy and will have the lesions removed soon. While this isn’t the best news, it’s manageable and won’t keep me down for long. However, it does mean that my planned G1000 transition training will need to wait.

Indiegogo Campaign: In an effort to fund more flight training, I launched a campaign on Indiegogo. Unfortunately, after 26 days, it hasn’t gained traction, which isn’t surprising—cinematic projects tend to attract more attention than personal training funds. Nonetheless, any support garnered will directly benefit my CAP flying and further training.

Business Developments: On the business front, I’m gearing up for a new initiative set to launch in September aimed at increasing revenue. There are still some preparations underway, including a few crucial phone conferences to set everything in motion.

A Note of Compassion: Lastly, my heart goes out to the community of Aurora, Colorado. Having been there myself back in May 2005 for a movie premiere at the Century 16 theatre, the recent events have deeply affected me. Aurora is a community of good people, and they have been in my thoughts and prayers.

Signing Off: Thank you for keeping up with my journey. Here’s to overcoming challenges and welcoming brighter days ahead. Blue skies!
